Siddharth Anand’s War is making history at the box office in India. The movie got released on 02 October 2019. The movie released on the eve of Gandhi Jayati in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The high action dram movie stars Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles.
The movie has created a
benchmark in the history of Hindi film. War was released in 5350 screens
worldwide. The movie War has earned Rs.51.60cr on the very first day. Previous
to that Salman Khan’s Bharat has the highest opening of Rs 42.30 cr, followed
by Mission mangal with 29.16 cr.
War made Rs. 23.10 crore on its
second day. So in two days the collection to Rs 77.7 crore. The box office
number saw a drop on its second day for being a working day.
Hrithik and Tiger have
collaborated for the first time in the film. Going by the hype of their fan
base the movie has been already declared a hit.
Director of War is very much
overwhelmed by the explosive response to the movie. He said "Having two of the biggest action superstars
of Indian cinema, we had the immense responsibility to give audiences a never
seen before visual experience and I feel hugely validated that people across
the country have loved our action entertainer that has pushed the envelope of
action genre in India."
The Trade analyst Taran Adarsh
has tweeted "War creates H-I-S-T-O-R-Y.. Sets a new benchmark for Hindi films. He
said “War storms at Australia, despite midweek release. It has emerged the highest
opening at Hindi film [2019] in Australia. On Wednesday it earned A$ 130,682. It
has Surpasses GullyBoy, Bharat and Kalank. War is also Hrithik’s biggest opener
in Australia, surpassing his films by a big margin."
